The wave is rendered in Unity for the opening shot for a more realistic and dynamic look. For the rest of the shots, the wave is rendered in Maya.

Maya: Uses Boss Ocean, with a custom Hypershader for sea surface material.

Unity: Uses HDRP Water System in Unity 2023.
Tech Art - Underwater Lighting

The underwater lighting uses Maya aiFog.

The caustic effect uses a spotlight with aiGobo filter.

The volumetric light uses Maya aiAtmosphereVolume, and is rendered separately and composited in post-processing.
Tech Art - Fish Flock Simulation

The fish is rigged and animated in Maya.

The flocking behavior is created with Maya MASH Flight Node.
Compositing

The scene is set-dressed and lit differently for each shot to design composition for specific camera angles.
